The Ministry of National Development has announced on Friday (16 December 2016) that a total of 15 sites will be listed for sale under the 1H2017 Government Land Sales (GLS) programme
The sites are expected to yield approximately 7,465 private homes and a massive gross floor area of 158,080 sq metres of commercial space.
Out of the 15 sites, 5 residential sites will be placed under the confirmed list – which can yield an estimate of 2,330 private homes – which is 7% higher than the number of units planned for under the confirmed list of the 2H2016 GLS programme.
The reserve list will consist of 7 sites for private homes (which includes 1 sites for executive condo), 1 site for mixed commercial-residential development and 2 other commercial sites.
In total, the sites under the reserve list can yield 5,135 private homes (inclusive of 775 executive condo units) and 158,080 sq m of commercial spaces (most of it planned for offices).
Looking at the sites listed under the 1H2017 Government Land Sales (GLS) programme, market watchers have noted that the land parcel at Woodleigh Lane will set to draw plenty of attention from property developers; due to it being next to Woodleigh MRT Station and being situated within the upcoming Bidadari estate.
With only a couple Woodleigh condo projects (which are not as close to the MRT Station) in the area, it’s widely expected to see a repercussion of the amount of condo launches which happened in the nearby Potong Pasir precinct – with Sennett Residence, Sant Ritz, Venue Residences and Poiz Residences all launching one after another.
