AMO Residence draws strong crowd of around 7,500 over long weekend
It's the first condo launch in Ang Mo Kio since 2014.
The 372-unit AMO Residence condo saw a remarkably strong turnout during its 1st preview weekend.
The new launch condo along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 drew a massive crowd of around 7,500 to its showflat over 3 days — from 09 to 11 July 2022.
Being developed for a tripartite that comprises UOL Group, SingLand, and Kheng Leong, AMO Residence will be sitting on a land area of around 136,480 square feet.
This 99-year leasehold site at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 was acquired in May 2020 for $381.18 million (or $1,118 psf ppr).
AMO Residence will have only 2 residential towers — each 25-storey tall.
There is a good unit mix of 2 to 5 bedroom types, ranging from 614 1,367 square feet.
Based on the guide price given by the developers, a 2-bedroom unit will start from $1.26 million; a 3-bedroom from $1.81 million; a 4-bedder from $2.48 million and 5-bedrooms will start from $2.85 million.
Analysts believe that prospective buyers are mainly drawn to its location as Ang Mo Kio is a well-established mature estate in Singapore.
In addition, this new launch condo at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 is located within a 1-km radius of top schools, namely Ai Tong Primary and St Nicholas Girls’ School.
It gets even better as the condo is also located near the newly opened Mayflower MRT station (along the new Thomson-East Coast Line).
Market watchers have also noted that there is pent-up demand within the vicinity as the last project launch in the area was The Panorama. That was around 8 years ago.
The condominium was completed in 2017 and units have changed hands for an average psf price of $1,711 from January to June 2022.
AMO Residence is set to launch officially for sale on 23 July 2022.
